Code(s) of Conduct
Code of Conduct for BYFCA Members
As BYFCA Member (Guardian/Athlete) or Invited Guest (Family/Friend)
I
WILL
treat all members of the BYFCA community with respect, positivity, and support.
I
WILL
respect game officials and accept decisions of the game as being fair and called to the best of their ability. I understand the officials have the authority to issue our team penalties for spectator outbursts. I (
parent
) understand that if I am ejected during a game, I must leave the premises immediately for the remainder of the day. I understand (
athlete
) that if I am ejected from a game, I must sit for four (4) full quarters starting the following quarter of the ejection. A second offense will result in a athlete/parent suspension for the remainder of the season.
I
WILL
address any and all concerns pertaining to my child with the Head Coach of their specified team.
I
WILL
address my concerns respectfully, at appropriate times, and away from all athletes (players/cheerleaders). I fully realize should I feel the need to discuss the matter further; I am welcome to address the matter with the governing body assigned and elected to the BYFCA.
I
WILL NOT
use profanity.
I
WILL NOT
disrespect an opponent’s Coaches, athletes, or fans by word of mouth or gesture.
I
WILL
always treat our opponents with respect and show good sportsmanship.
I
WILL NOT
come on to the field during a game or practice and will remain in the designated spectator areas.
I
WILL NOT
use drugs, tobacco, alcohol, or vapes at games, practices, or community events.
I
WILL
be fully committed to my team or squad by attending practices and games.
I acknowledge that all group/mass communications are used for informational purposes only.
I
WILL NOT
use these group messages as a means to express frustrations, criticisms, or negativity.
As a BYFCA member I understand the above also applies to my invited guests (i.e. Friends, family, siblings). It is my responsibility to communicate these standards to my guests to ensure a positive experience for all.
As BYFCA Volunteer (Coach / Assistant / Manager / Other)
